OUR BELIEFS AND VALUES
The heartbeat of all we do at Dalkeith Anglican is the wonderful news of what God has done for us through the death and resurrection of his Son, Jesus.
The Bible reveals that though we all have rejected God and his ways, he is full of compassion and grace and sent his Son Jesus to die for us, to bring us forgiveness and a relationship with him. This new life is freely given to all people who turn back to him and place their trust in Jesus as Lord and Saviour. In response to what God has done for us in Jesus, we seek to live new lives of love for God and other people.
At Dalkeith Anglican we believe that every member of the church is given an important and unique role in serving God and others, and seek to equip and encourage one another to do so. In particular, we strive to be a community of 'disciples making disciples': followers of Jesus who point others to Jesus and help each other follow him.
The core values of our church are the values of the Anglican Church of Australia. This means we are a Reformed, Protestant Church, with an emphasis on God’s gracious revelation of himself in his Son, Jesus, attested to in his Word, the Bible.
