READINGS: Psalm 31:1-8, 14-24; 1 Peter 2:1-10; John 14:1-14
COLLECT: Saving God, who called your Church to witness that you were in Christ reconciling the world to yourself: help us so to proclaim the good news of your love, that all who hear it may be reconciled to you; through him who died for us and rose again and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
SENTENCE: But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9
For the next few weeks our KidsChurch materials will be following the Sermon on the Mount.
There are activity sheets for children to complete during the service, a kids talk for before/after, and great family devotions for during the week.
(With grateful thanks to QuizWorx.com for generously providing these resources free during the COVID pandemic.)
Today we look at Matthew 6:19-21. Big idea: our hearts will always be where our treasure is. What we love most matters! Jesus wants us to love God more than the good things God gives us.
